Cleaswell Hill Foundation (Registered Charity No 1000697) are currently fundraising towards nine major projects. Any donation towards these projects would be greatly appreciated and many children with special educational needs and disabilities will benefit from your generosity.

Project 1 - Hydrotherapy Pool Equipment and Resources

Cleaswell Hill Foundation (Registered Charity No 1000697) are currently appealing for funding towards inclusive equipment and resources to be used within a specialist hydrotherapy pool at Cleaswell Hill School. This includes durable, waterproof slings to enable children that utilise wheelchairs to access the pool via hoist and exciting sensory play based resources to develop imagination, creativity, motor, social, communication, play, problem solving and swimming skills. These resources would be utilised daily by children with special educational needs and disabilities and residents from the local community.

Project 2 – Outdoor Play and Learning Resources/Outdoor Canopies

Cleaswell Hill Foundation (Registered Charity No 1000697) are currently fundraising towards inclusive outdoor play resources and large, durable canopies at Cleaswell Hill School. This will enable children with special educational needs and disabilities to access the outdoors at all times, regardless of the weather. The provision of outdoor play resources and canopies will facilitate outdoor play, encourage the development of social, communication and motor skills and provide shelter during after school, extra-curricular and school holiday activities.

Project 3 - Outdoor Play Area

Cleaswell Hill Foundation (Registered Charity No 1000697) are currently appealing for funding towards the creation of an accessible outdoor play area to enable children with special educational needs and disabilities to safely develop their social, motor, communication, play, motor and problem solving skills within an exciting and inclusive environment.

Project 4 – Mobile Interactive Sensory Projector

Cleaswell Hill Foundation (Registered Charity No 1000697) are fundraising to purchase a mobile sensory projector to transform spaces into interactive learning environments. The sensory projector will facilitate the development of sensory regulation, motor skills,  emotional regulation, motor planning, hand-eye coordination, social skills, communication skills, engagement, imagination, creativity, speech, thinking skills, problem solving skills and visual-perception skills with trained practitioners.

Project 5 – Therapy Resources/Therapy Cabins

Cleaswell Hill Foundation (Registered Charity No 1000697) are appealing for funding towards the construction and resourcing of specialist outdoor therapy cabins at Cleaswell Hill School. Dedicated therapy cabins will provide a safe, engaging environment for children with special educational needs and disabilities to access essential therapeutic interventions such as play therapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, drawing and talking therapy, music therapy and much more. This will enable the children to develop their sensory regulation, motor skills, mental health, independence, motor planning, emotional regulation, hand-eye coordination, self-esteem, confidence, social skills, communication skills, engagement, imagination, creativity, speech, thinking skills, problem solving skills and visual-perception skills with trained practitioners and highquality resources. These skills are then transferrable not only to the classroom, but also throughout their lives.

Project 6 – Music Therapy/Theatre Arts Provision

Cleaswell Hill Foundation (Registered Charity No 1000697) are fundraising to provide inclusive, engaging music therapy sessions and performing arts provision for children with special educational needs and disabilities. Exciting opportunities for the children at Cleaswell Hill School to engage with music will facilitate turn-taking, foster creativity, encourage confidence, develop social skills, promote self-expression, encourage sensory regulation, promote wellbeing, develop motor skills and provide enjoyable, memorable experiences for all children, regardless of their needs.

Project 7 – Summer Holiday/After School Activity Programmes

Cleaswell Hill Foundation (Registered Charity No 1000697) are currently fundraising towards summer holiday and after school activity programmes for children with special educational needs and disabilities. Access to these specialist programmes will allow the children that attend Cleaswell Hill School to socialise within a safe, inclusive environment with familiar, highly trained staff that can facilitate needs such as hygiene, moving and handling, feeding and administering medication.

The summer holiday and after school activity programmes will facilitate the development of key skills such as resilience, confidence, communication, creativity, courage and problem solving.

Project 8 - MUGA Floodlights and Resurfacing

Cleaswell Hill Foundation (Registered Charity No 1000697) are currently appealing for funding towards the installation of fixed floodlights around the exiting MUGA at Cleaswell Hill School. The provision of floodlights will enable the children with special educational needs and disabilities that attend Cleaswell Hill School and members of local community groups to access the MUGA after school hours, promoting community cohesion. The current surface of the MUGA at Cleaswell Hill School is coming towards the end of its useful life; we are presently fundraising towards resurfacing the MUGA to ensure that the resource is safe and sustainable for the children that attend Cleaswell Hill School and members of the local community.

Project 9 - Sound Booth

Cleaswell Hill Foundation (Registered Charity No 1000697) are fundraising to create a specialist sound booth at The Appleby Centre. The sound booth will enable children with special educational needs and disabilities to engage with and record music on a 1:1 and small group basis, promoting confidence, creativity, social skills, self expression, turn-taking, emotional regulation, wellbeing and the development of motor skills. The sound booth will provide enjoyable, memorable experiences for all children to create and record music, regardless of their needs.
