School Information
The school day is made up of eight teaching sessions (which includes registration, break and lunchtime) from 9.00am to 3.10pm

School finishes at 2.10pm on Fridays.
Whole school or Phase assemblies take place on Fridays at 9.20am. Pupils actively participate with our school prayer and wish, as well as with the musical activity. We have a shared Behaviour Objective which links to one of our six school values and celebrate achievements with certificates presented by pupils to their peers. A Head teacher’s Award, Merit Awards and prizes are also given out.
Parents/Carers are invited to attend assemblies throughout the year.
We also raise awareness and understanding by promoting special religious festivals, celebrations and events, including Mind’s ‘Time to Talk’ day, Blue Friday for Anti-Bullying Week , Safer Internet Day and World Book Day.
Cleaswell Hill School is committed to establishing, maintaining and developing links with the local community. These links give our pupils opportunities to experience many aspects of life outside school and provide valuable preparation for adulthood.
Links include: The Tim Lamb Centre, The Alan Shearer Centre, Seb and Olivia’s Den, Autism Northumberland, Toby Henderson Trust, Community Police, Rock and Roam, Northumberland College of FE, Tyne Met College, Newcastle College, Children’s University.
We actively support charitable events and organisations including; Operation Christmas Child, Mind Mental health, Children in Need and Comic Relief.
Cleaswell Hill School is used as a training placement by a wide variety of students. These include students in; Teaching, PE & Sports Science, Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy from Newcastle, Northumbria and Sunderland Universities, Local Colleges of FE and schools.
Cleaswell Hill is a registered charity and raises funds to promote the work of the school by providing equipment and activities for use by all the pupils. Our fundraising lead is Lauren Caisley.
