Summer Sports Day and Fundraising Event
We are hosting a summer sports day and family fundraising event on Thursday 14th July 2022 at Cleaswell Hill School.
Sports day will be split into senior and junior events. The senior events will take place in the morning and the junior events will take place in the afternoon. Events for the seniors will include Classes 11 – Upper 4 and will take place from 9:20am to 12:15pm. The junior events will include Classes 2,3,4,6,7,8,10 and will take place from 12:30pm to 2:45pm. All pupils will need their Cleaswell Hill P.E. kit along with items to protect them from the sun, e.g. sun hat and sun cream.
After all activities have concluded, both the seniors and the juniors will take part in an awards ceremony on the field which parents are invited to stay for. The children will travel home on their normal transport arrangements at the end of the school day.
Parents and carers are invited to attend for the whole day, morning or afternoon. There will be a variety of stalls available including a bouncy castle, raffle, domino card, children’s tombola, adult’s tombola, cake stall, book fair, uniform stall, ice cream van, snack stall, hot drink and food stall and a bottle in the bag stall from 11:00am – 2:00pm. Parents and carers can also bring along a picnic to enjoy with their child on the school field.
We would like to remind parents that mobile phones must not be used to take photographs whilst on school grounds but photographs will be available on our Facebook page and website.
Unfortunately there will be no parking onsite for this event. Please walk or use public transport where possible. The Cherry Tree Bar and Grill, Stakeford have also kindly offered to host parent and carer cars within their car park for this event.
If the weather is particularly bad, the summer sports day and family fundraising event will be postponed until Monday 18th July.
All of the proceeds from this event will enable Cleaswell Hill Foundation(registered charity number 1000697) to provide exciting, inclusive resources and experiences for the children at Cleaswell Hill School.
