Today’s assembly is all about our emotions.

But first… The Prayer.

Can you guess how many different emotions we can feel? See if you can count all the ones you know.

There are 27! That’s a lot!

Do we always feel happy? Do you?

It is normal to feel lots of different feelings in our day and we wont always be happy.

Some of our feelings make us feel good, other feelings make us feel not so good. Our feelings can stop us from learning, can lead us to hurt others or ourselves.

When this happens we need to do something to make us feel ok again.

Here is a video to help us to understand our feelings.

Things that we can try to help us stay in the green zone might be:

☆ taking deep, steady breaths

☆ talking to someone you trust

☆listening to music

☆bouncing on a trampoline

☆squeezing theraputty or a ball really hard

☆ running around

☆ doing something you enjoy

☆pulling some silly faces

It is important that we talk about and try to control our emotions so that we can have a calmer and happy life.

Can you show us some of the things that help you to stay calm?

Your parents can help you to do this by emailing keepintouch@cleaswellhill.org

Our sign of the week is…. calm

Now it is time for our wish.
