Summer Reading Challenge
A message from the Northumberland Schools Library Service:
The Summer Reading Challenge is an annual event aimed at 4 – 11-year-olds. Children are encouraged to read six (or more) books of their choice during the summer holidays with collectable incentives and rewards, plus a medal and certificate for every child who completes the Challenge.
The STEM based theme for 2022 is…’Gadgeteers’ and it will celebrate the key role of the imagination in both reading and the sciences.
The Challenge will show children that science is all around us every day and inspire them to unleash their curiosity and creativity!
We will have lots of brilliant events, competitions and prizes to be won. Full details will appear on our library website www.mylibrary.co.uk and social media pages.
We will be supplying bookmark style invitations to schools to send home with children.
We will be delighted to answer any questions you may have, again please just get in touch.
Thank you for your continued support of our Summer Reading Challenge – let’s keep children reading over the summer holidays!
