Successful, sustainable learning can only occur when there is meaningful engagement. The process of engagement connects a child and their environment. Without engagement, there is no deep learning, effective teaching, meaningful outcome, real attainment or quality progress.
School Leaders prioritise a learning offer to ensure maximum impact. We want pupils to make the best progress possible and use a range of strategies to support them to be able to attend and engage with their learning. These strategies and interventions focus on social communication and emotional regulation including; Attention Autism, Intensive Interaction, SCERTS targets, Zones of Regulation. These are in addition to flexible, creative timetabling, diverse themes, activities and events incorporated.
In addition, mathematics and English subject areas deliver learning from Early Years to GCSE within carefully selected pupil groupings to maximise engagement and achievement.
